Mother Jewellry

The top left is a photo of earrings and a necklace hand crafted porcelain ceramic,

then painted and glazed.  They look almost like seashells.  I love these so unique and

intricate.  My mom got these in the late 80's.

They are by a local artist, on the designs it is marked Judy.

Top right is a short necklace. About 50 strands of beads are coiled together attached to

the copper center piece.  Its hallowed ovals made with copper are welded together

and have a hammered design.

Done by a local artist, also bought in the late 80's.

Bottom left is a very interesting piece.  Its a short necklace with a mix of materials

including leather,copper wire, beads and black rocks. 

 Everything is put together in a creative fashion.

Bottom right is a gold chain with 4 inch gold key, decorated with 3 diamonds.

So since Valentines day has passed, and loved ones have shared the day together...

some are very please and some may be disappointed.

But that doesn't change the very simple little fact that even though you may have screwed the day up, not gotten or done what she had wanted.. she still loves you anyways.

That's the beautiful thing about love.

Here are some pictures of me and my boyfriend (Kalan)

We met a while ago at a party, i had a secret crush on him, he had a secret crush on me, we both were dating other people.  About a year passes, things don't work out for either of us and our now Xs. As stupid as it sounds i had done a facebook love match, and it came up as him.  That instantly re jogged my memory about him and decided to start creeping ever so often and chatting lightly.  We ended up texting every night asking a million questions to each other, i felt i knew him within a few weeks.

We talked on the phone for the first time and i was ecstatic, crazy and talking too fast for my own good. I also couldn't stop laughing, between every second i would giggle. Oh man how i loved this feeling.  We decided on a day to meet, we met up, we looked at the stars and found we couldn't stop our conversation if we'd wanted to.  We had a bottle of wine and he played the guitar for me, i told him to shut his eyes and a kissed him on the cheek, (our first kiss).  He blushed and smiled. 

We couldn't stay away from each other, his presence was just so amazing to go without.

We saw each other for about 2 months before we started dating officially.

Broken, Jagged, Injured or full

Are all your hearts on the table?

Everyone has a heart, its a simple fact that you can't live without one.

But besides that heart, i hear people talk about a heart

in a lot of different ways.

 Maybe their heart is cold, hard as stone,

maybe its broken into a billion tiny pieces, its been broken in half and someone

has stolen the other part, or maybe its chipped, uneven, jagged.

Maybe their heart is as big as they think it could ever get and its beating at speeds

above normal... well it happens to everyone and that is very normal.

Everybody's physiological heart is different depending on what they're going through.

They may have found the love of their life or, that person may have just left them.

Maybe its broken from the past but now being healed by a new healthy heart interaction.

I feel like every one has many different hearts instead of just one.. well 1 real 1 in their heads..

They have many made up ones, as many as you could think of you could have if you

really wanted. All the hearts are different and distinct in a way that is like no one elses.

Don't throw away broken or damaged hearts, keep them to learn from,

or to help the others to grow and become stronger.

You may not remember, but never forget.

Just a Game?

LOVE IS JUST A GAME

To some people, well.. Love is just a game.

They play it day by day,  sometimes they win the game, sometimes they loose.

Its all up to chance and luck, or if you're playing with a cheater

sometimes its not so much fun anymore.

So here is what i think, stop playing a game,

and for those being played... stop being played.

Jump over that obstacle all together, and move to the next "space"

The hidden heart

Not everything is what it seems...

Things may come across differently,

things may look differently,

things may be in fact not how they seem to be.

I've found that while searching for hearts,

I've also come across many that i wouldn't have even thought were there.

Hearts can be many of places hiding waiting for someone to find them and appreciate,

as well as Love...  Its there almost every single place you are, look and see.

Its just it might not appear that way at the beginning.

I encourage you to go find love and be surprised when you do,

in a place where you think it could not be lingering.

:) you'll be surprised what you find, if you just take the time to find it.

the poshion of love

This container could hold many of things.. perfume, sand, or in a little girls world,
some magic love poshion and some magic love dust.
This small ornament that she was given by her mother at a very
young age was a prised possestion to her. She would sometimes dream
about all the things that she could do with it, she could make
people fall in love, she could make people fall in love with her..
haha she loved the idea of love.
To this day it sits on her bathroom counter next to her
sink where she still looks and admires it.

The note

How lovely it is when that special someone leaves you a little note.

Notes have to be one of my favorite things that someone can do or

give you, i just think they are absolutely adroable to give,

and recieve.

It makes their presence last longer, it feels like they're still around.

well that's how a lot of people are feeling right now.
they've finally realized January is over and the "Love" month has begun.
well well well.. either you enjoy the month or dread it.
I hear the single people say
"ugh. a holiday to make singles feel like shit and boyfriends and girlfriends to empty their wallets"
and people whom are compassionate but not single to reply
"you don't have to empty your wallet. I'm cooking my girl dinner, gonna watch a movie and just enjoy each others company. We both are broke, and honestly, materialistic gifts are unnecessary to me."

That's what I'm talking about! this guy has got it right and I know if his GF
sees that well she will be very pleased with him no doubt..
the only thing is she will know not to expect a gift, haha.

So for all the stone cold rock heart people out there whom i can just for short call "Single"
and who despise this month just because of the simple fact you are jealous of love,
and oh very very single,  its OK.  be upset, but just know that while you waste your
time sobbing and taking it out on other people, you could have used that time
to actually find someone you might love in the future and spend valentines with...
SOMEONE!!!
these people aren't even just pissed off for the one day in the middle, they're
unhappy the whole god dam month.

Thinking about the L word

Today i couldn't get the idea and everything that comes along with it out of my head.
It kept creeping up on me like an unexpected surprise I knew was coming...



Valentines day is drawing near.

February is the month that holds this day within its 28 days..

So if i have this correct, they have chosen, singled out one specific day..

to what is it exactly? love that special someone?

buy that person chocolates in cardboard heart shaped cut out boxes

that they won't eat anywaysor buy the individual long stemmed red roses,

 which will present beauty for about a day then

quickly fade and become brittle to the touch.. (resembling the relationship you are in?)

Why not give something that lasts that they can hold on to, keep looking at, and maybe

actually rip up or break them selves when they see necessary.

Something that actually has a meaning behind it, and lasts longer than a day.

I find it absurd to have one day, why not have February just be a whole 28 days

of love love love?

So i am going to have a countdown of this lovely month starting today..

with a picture depicting expressions of love or someone or something that resembles love

I will also be including stories of how each day for myself worked, with me trying to give more

love to the special ones all around me whom i LOVE.<3

Photoshoot

I got a photo shoot done finally! Now that one is out of my system, I'm ready for another one.

The weather had gotten actually nice for a while and that not only got me in a better mood

but made me more creative with what i wanted to do. Some outside shots, some inside.

Laurel was an amazing model for me, as she always is. She is a great friend of mine

whom i actually hadn't seen in quite some time so this was nice.

I got to photograph the shorts I've been wanting to show, so i was excited about that, the only thing was it was super dark out when i was able to do it and we had to stick inside mostly. The pictures didn't work out exactly how i wanted for the shorts but I hope to have another one with them featured in it as well, but an outside/summer one.

This picture also presents the coin necklace that was also my mothers.

The hair is just simple bun, out of the way, and beautiful.  With the pastel pinks and the bun i got a ballerina vibe from it, which i loved!

THE PINK COUCH
My mother found it when i was young and has always wanted to recover it or do something with it, i love it and won't let her touch this beautiful thing. Its so cute and little too, just adorable.

I love her Blue eyes and the red vintage watch.

This is my mothers old fox fur coat, its absolutely stunning to see, feel and have on.

Its shorter with a big heavy rim around the neck.

The lining is beautiful, a light grey silk with a black star design.

 

The Green Shorts

From among the many items i have found and loved from my mothers closet,
there is this one item that still i just absolutely love.  They're amazing.
They are these green high waited leather shorts.  The brand is "by Giovanni"
and I've been seeing everything about the whole high waisted thing the past year.
So i know that's coming back, and I've also seen a whole lot about the fabrics
specifically the leather, sequins, suedes and many others.
I love these shorts so much, its just the color I'm a little worried about.
They are green, if they were black i would wear them all the time its just having
to match and not look like i just walked straight out of a 1980's vogue mag
is a little tough.  I'm thinking up ideas all the time for them, and i just keep
coming back again and again, i just wanna wear them badly.

The time that day comes i will show you, but for now, besides taking
a picture of them hung up or on the floor that gives them no justice at all
I'll have to show you the closest thing I've found to them.

These are red i know.  The ones i have look exactly the same besides the tie
on the top of these ones. So this is from a magazine, its a photo shoot of
Kristen Stewart, whom i love just for the record.   The red shorts are
Chloe spring 2009.

Hats

So i recently found out my mother has a very interesting hat collection going on. We have unpacked and found around 8 to 11 hat boxes with atleast 2 hats in each box, some with even 4 if they're around the same size and can be stacked on top of eachother. The boxes are very old fashioned just cardboard white boxes with lids and ribbons coming from each side to tie on the top to keep it shut.  Very cute.
Well on to the hats...
There are summer beach hats, the ones with the nice big rim made out of straw like material, in numerous different colors some bright reds and blues and greens, other just dark shades of navy and black.
These were awesome and i hope to start using this up coming summer on the beach.
There were also these really cool old fashioned hats, the ones with flowers and ribons tied around them, very pretty and looks like something you would wear to church or something back then.
Then there are the hats that have the veils on them, some with feathers and such. very dramatic.  These look like something you would wear out on the town or a funeral.

Mothers Jewelry

One Day...

Me and my mother were unpacking a box, a box that we didn't even unpack in our old house. It was very old so I was so excitited to see all the suprises and goodies that were beneith the old dusty cardboard and cracked old tape.  I knew exactly what to expect from what i saw first. Cute boxes and shoe boxes, i knew jewelry was on its way out to my hands.  We opened the first few, a few things i quickly snatched for myself as my mother told me how old it was, when she wore it and so on. 

Its like an adrenaline rush everytime i open a box.

Here is a photo of what i chose out of the box, that i thought i might wear or use for photoshoots.  Some of the things that i found are a little outlandish for everyday wear, but are so very cool to have as vintage items because i've noticed a lot of styles coming back.

colorful memories

These are some pictures from last summer visiting my boyfriend while he was staying with his dad.
I felt so much creativity overwhelming me, i felt at peace out there and it was like getting away from the same old same old.

The colors were deep and rich. The contrast between the green surroundings and the blue sky were extraordinary. 

We were walking along as we passed the forest trees and huge bushes that surrounded us, when i saw an opening through them.  I had already passed when it finally dawned on me what i had saw.  I had to passe back a few steps and i stared out, I couldn't believe what i was seeing.  It was so breathtakingly beautiful.

This is an old bike, not sure how long its been there but it was intriguing and interesting. It was in the river close by, in very shallow water.  The picture created itself, all i had to do was press a button on this one. its amazing the shadows and textures.

My Mother

 This beautiful elegant woman here, is my Mother.

Or what i like to call her, mama, mommy, mom.

Thought I would show you guys whom i came from, and where i got my good looks :)

She is everything to me and I have no clue in the world what I would

do without this woman. She is so strong and determined.

Through everything she has gone through and survived through her many years

amazes me. She loves with her heart mind and soul.

Her and I can laugh together, sit together read together.. and once in a while

i can yell at her good too.  Which I must mention I am not proud of and I will blame

it on the age thing, and of course that horrible time of the month that always comes around.

Her and i are attached.. in a way that is very hard to explain.

Here is something I need to slowly work myself out of doing but am still doing constantly,

think i just figured out my new years resolution haha.

I call her about everything, whether i just got the mall and made it on time for work, or if I found this really cute sweater and how good of a deal it is but i need to see if she agrees first,

to ask her if i should do this or do that and see what she thinks.

she basically to sum it up is my decider.

Its a great thing to have really, when your a person like me who is so indecisive you could stand in the middle of a food court deciding between two things by the time your lunch break is over.

Anyways, I love my mother dearly and I just wanted to give a quick introduction to this wonderful woman.

Here is a sweet little gal, whom is so near and dear to my heart, her name is Ebony. She turns 4 in almost a week now. She is my sisters daughter. I was just looking through old albums on my laptop and came across these pictures and i just couldn't help but smile. She is just so adorable, and such a model for me as well. I'm sure by a weeks time I will have a new post that has a few exciting photos from her birthday.

Explanation

Hello everyone!
I'm very excited about starting this up and keeping with it.
i just wanted to explain what my blog is going to be all about.

I'm interested in a lot of interesting stuff so i think that who ever sees this, will indeed keep checking back to see what other cool new things i have to show and say.

Its going to be a lot about my photography, and others as well.
I am in love with taking photos, i like to try and make them different, inspiring, interesting, visually puzzling.
I am trying now more and more to try and make my photos look unreal, like they have been edited without actually being touched or played with.
Its going to be about the things i find, whether it be in a box packed up the garage, from a store, or even from my mothers closet.  You will be surprised the things I've found packed up that my mother used to have when she was younger. all of it is coming back in style too!
Its going to be about things i think about or have to get out and just say... poetry, short stories, or even sentences that don't make sense at all.
Its going to be about fashion, makeup, hair and all that fun stuff all of us girls love!
Its just going to be very... different.

so that's my explanation on why i am doing this, so i can show the world the things that excite me in hopes i can excite them as well.
