The Green Shorts

From among the many items i have found and loved from my mothers closet,
there is this one item that still i just absolutely love.  They're amazing.
They are these green high waited leather shorts.  The brand is "by Giovanni"
and I've been seeing everything about the whole high waisted thing the past year.
So i know that's coming back, and I've also seen a whole lot about the fabrics
specifically the leather, sequins, suedes and many others.
I love these shorts so much, its just the color I'm a little worried about.
They are green, if they were black i would wear them all the time its just having
to match and not look like i just walked straight out of a 1980's vogue mag
is a little tough.  I'm thinking up ideas all the time for them, and i just keep
coming back again and again, i just wanna wear them badly.

The time that day comes i will show you, but for now, besides taking
a picture of them hung up or on the floor that gives them no justice at all
I'll have to show you the closest thing I've found to them.

These are red i know.  The ones i have look exactly the same besides the tie
on the top of these ones. So this is from a magazine, its a photo shoot of
Kristen Stewart, whom i love just for the record.   The red shorts are
Chloe spring 2009.

Hats

So i recently found out my mother has a very interesting hat collection going on. We have unpacked and found around 8 to 11 hat boxes with atleast 2 hats in each box, some with even 4 if they're around the same size and can be stacked on top of eachother. The boxes are very old fashioned just cardboard white boxes with lids and ribbons coming from each side to tie on the top to keep it shut.  Very cute.
Well on to the hats...
There are summer beach hats, the ones with the nice big rim made out of straw like material, in numerous different colors some bright reds and blues and greens, other just dark shades of navy and black.
These were awesome and i hope to start using this up coming summer on the beach.
There were also these really cool old fashioned hats, the ones with flowers and ribons tied around them, very pretty and looks like something you would wear to church or something back then.
Then there are the hats that have the veils on them, some with feathers and such. very dramatic.  These look like something you would wear out on the town or a funeral.

Maybe since there is still snow, it'll
be a winter inspired one, with a girl in a
long black flowing skirt and loose
thickly knit sweater, and a hat.

Mothers Jewelry

One Day...

Me and my mother were unpacking a box, a box that we didn't even unpack in our old house. It was very old so I was so excitited to see all the suprises and goodies that were beneith the old dusty cardboard and cracked old tape.  I knew exactly what to expect from what i saw first. Cute boxes and shoe boxes, i knew jewelry was on its way out to my hands.  We opened the first few, a few things i quickly snatched for myself as my mother told me how old it was, when she wore it and so on. 

Its like an adrenaline rush everytime i open a box.

Here is a photo of what i chose out of the box, that i thought i might wear or use for photoshoots.  Some of the things that i found are a little outlandish for everyday wear, but are so very cool to have as vintage items because i've noticed a lot of styles coming back.

colorful memories

These are some pictures from last summer visiting my boyfriend while he was staying with his dad.
I felt so much creativity overwhelming me, i felt at peace out there and it was like getting away from the same old same old.

The colors were deep and rich. The contrast between the green surroundings and the blue sky were extraordinary. 

We were walking along as we passed the forest trees and huge bushes that surrounded us, when i saw an opening through them.  I had already passed when it finally dawned on me what i had saw.  I had to passe back a few steps and i stared out, I couldn't believe what i was seeing.  It was so breathtakingly beautiful.

This is an old bike, not sure how long its been there but it was intriguing and interesting. It was in the river close by, in very shallow water.  The picture created itself, all i had to do was press a button on this one. its amazing the shadows and textures.

My Mother

 This beautiful elegant woman here, is my Mother.

Or what i like to call her, mama, mommy, mom.

Thought I would show you guys whom i came from, and where i got my good looks :)

She is everything to me and I have no clue in the world what I would

do without this woman. She is so strong and determined.

Through everything she has gone through and survived through her many years

amazes me. She loves with her heart mind and soul.

Her and I can laugh together, sit together read together.. and once in a while

i can yell at her good too.  Which I must mention I am not proud of and I will blame

it on the age thing, and of course that horrible time of the month that always comes around.

Her and i are attached.. in a way that is very hard to explain.

Here is something I need to slowly work myself out of doing but am still doing constantly,

think i just figured out my new years resolution haha.

I call her about everything, whether i just got the mall and made it on time for work, or if I found this really cute sweater and how good of a deal it is but i need to see if she agrees first,

to ask her if i should do this or do that and see what she thinks.

she basically to sum it up is my decider.

Its a great thing to have really, when your a person like me who is so indecisive you could stand in the middle of a food court deciding between two things by the time your lunch break is over.

Anyways, I love my mother dearly and I just wanted to give a quick introduction to this wonderful woman.

Here is a sweet little gal, whom is so near and dear to my heart, her name is Ebony. She turns 4 in almost a week now. She is my sisters daughter. I was just looking through old albums on my laptop and came across these pictures and i just couldn't help but smile. She is just so adorable, and such a model for me as well. I'm sure by a weeks time I will have a new post that has a few exciting photos from her birthday.

Explanation

Hello everyone!
I'm very excited about starting this up and keeping with it.
i just wanted to explain what my blog is going to be all about.

I'm interested in a lot of interesting stuff so i think that who ever sees this, will indeed keep checking back to see what other cool new things i have to show and say.

Its going to be a lot about my photography, and others as well.
I am in love with taking photos, i like to try and make them different, inspiring, interesting, visually puzzling.
I am trying now more and more to try and make my photos look unreal, like they have been edited without actually being touched or played with.
Its going to be about the things i find, whether it be in a box packed up the garage, from a store, or even from my mothers closet.  You will be surprised the things I've found packed up that my mother used to have when she was younger. all of it is coming back in style too!
Its going to be about things i think about or have to get out and just say... poetry, short stories, or even sentences that don't make sense at all.
Its going to be about fashion, makeup, hair and all that fun stuff all of us girls love!
Its just going to be very... different.

so that's my explanation on why i am doing this, so i can show the world the things that excite me in hopes i can excite them as well.
